Excited to be the first brewery in the Gladesville area, Village Days Brewery Co. opened their doors in August 2023.
Brewery owner Daniel first discovered BSK Projects through the Build Me a Brewery Podcast where Benedikt from BSK Projects goes into great detail about the steps involved in building a brewery from the ground up. The podcast, along with the successful delivery of previous brewery ventures, gave Daniel the confidence to invest in BSK Projects to manage the intricate process of his brewery build.
Daniel quickly realised the investment he made in engaging an experienced brewery project manager led to some great cost savings.
The thorough tender process narrowed down the scope of work to detail the exact project requirements and responsibilities which provided a fair opportunity for competitive trade bidders. This process alone contributed to some significant cost savings which put the budget back on track.
Once appointed the clearly defined contracts helped to coordinate trades, made communication easy, and helped to reduce the risks around project variations.
In addition, Benedikt’s architectural background provided guidance during the design phase to make the most of the space available.
